Classic Harbor Line Featured in Macaroni KID: Sail to the Statue of Liberty With Kids for Free
Classic Harbor Line is excited to be featured in Macaroni KID’s guide to family-friendly summer activities. Their recent article highlights a special August offer from Classic Harbor Line NYC. Families can enjoy a daytime sail toward the Statue of Liberty together. Even better, children can sail free through the end of August.
What’s Going On
The offer applies to daytime Statue of Liberty sails from Chelsea’s Pier 62. Kids ages three through fourteen sail free with a paying adult. Infants two and under can also sail free during August. Adults receive 20% off their tickets with promo code AUGUST20.
The promotion is available Sunday through Friday throughout the month of August. Families must book directly with Classic Harbor Line to receive the offer. Everyone aboard America 2.0 also receives a complimentary frozen treat. That little extra makes an already memorable summer outing even sweeter.
Why it Might Be Perfect for You!
The Macaroni KID feature emphasizes that this experience offers much more. Families aren’t simply looking at the Statue of Liberty from shore. They’re experiencing New York Harbor from the deck of a sailing schooner. Kids can watch our crew raise the sails during the voyage. They can also see how the boat operates while underway.
Depending on the day, young guests might even meet the captain. They may have an opportunity to visit the cockpit during their sail. Some children can even try their hand at steering under supervision. For families with curious kids, those moments can become lasting memories.
About Our Boats
Our summer sailing fleet includes two classic schooners in New York Harbor. Schooner America 2.0 offers one of our most popular family-friendly sailing experiences. The 105-foot schooner features a distinctive black hull and spacious decks. Its design draws inspiration from the original America. That legendary schooner won the first America’s Cup in 1851.
America 2.0 also combines traditional sailing with modern marine technology. Electric propulsion and carbon-fiber masts help create a contemporary sailing experience. Guests can enjoy the character of a classic schooner without sacrificing modern comfort.
Schooner Adirondack offers another way to experience New York Harbor. This 80-foot, white-hulled schooner draws inspiration from 1890s pilot boats. Teak decks and mahogany trim give the vessel a timeless maritime character. Its design also makes it one of the harbor’s fastest resident sailboats.
For families visiting New York, August offers plenty of reasons to get outside. A Statue of Liberty sail adds something different to a typical city itinerary. Instead of navigating crowded sidewalks, guests can settle into the harbor breeze. The skyline, waterfront, and landmarks look different from the water.
Thank you Macaroni Kid!
We’re grateful Macaroni KID included Classic Harbor Line among its summer recommendations. Their feature helps families discover an experience designed for curious travelers. It also highlights an opportunity to introduce children to sailing. Most importantly, it gives families another reason to experience New York Harbor together.
