During Climate Week in NYC, Classic Harbor Line (CHL) is thrilled to host the Stone Soup Leadership Institute in honoring Henk Rogers with their Cronkite Award for Ocean Champion aboard Manhattan II and Adirondack IV - the newly constructed 90-foot wooden schooner and latest addition to the CHL fleet. Tune in online through the Classic Harbor Line YouTube Channel! for this 3 hour celebration starting with a dockside open house. Our team will take you onto the docks and aboard to tour Schooner Adirondack IV and meet some of the crew. We'll talk with boat builders John and Rick Scarano too.Aboard Yacht Manhattan II, we'll learn about the Stone Soup Leadership Institute and their mission of sustainability education around the world. We'll meet their staff, previous awardees and visit their exhibits. At 5:00 PM a ceremony commences on the bow of Manhattan II to recognize and honor Henk Rogers, founder of Blue Planet Alliance (and the creator of the renowned video game, Tetris) with the Cronkite Award for Ocean Champion! Get an up close view of the ceremony and the Christening of Adirondack IV from wherever you are! At 5:30 PM we'll 'set sail' with the captain and crew of Schooner Adirondack IV for a ride around NY Harbor. Those tuning in can see her sails being raised and experience the magic of sailing around New York City.

Join Classic Harbor Line in New York Harbor during one of our free livestream tours! Anyone, anywhere can experience our grand New York waterways, classic boats, historic landmarks and top NYC sightseeing tours through our newly launched Livestream Boat Tour Series! These livestream events will feature a sampling of some of our most unique New York harbor tours offered to the public, plus a mini-series of tours offered only to our live-stream audience- co-hosted by a number local waterfront nonprofits.

This livestream series is packed with rich New York experiences, in real time, unedited and free!

In collaboration with our talented tour guide & livestream host, Ariel Viera, we’ll be sharing a variety of New York experiences from our classic boats that viewers can access through the Classic Harbor Line YouTube Channel! Our free livestream events will greatly vary in length and topics, including an exploration of the John J Harvey Fireboat and her heroic acts on September 11th, a journey to the Bronx River where local teens are building and operating their own boats, and a real-time experience of what it’s like to see the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show in New York Harbor from a classic boat, just to name a few.
