I took our children and grandchildren ranging in age from 5 months to 22 years on a private charter cruise in the harbor for 2 hours. Everyone had an amazing time thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. It was an amazing, relaxing afternoon, and I cannot wait to do it again.

This is a review for a private charter on the Manhattan. Adam was easy to work with and quickly and thoroughly answered all of my questions via email as I was planning the event. I first experienced Classic Harbor Line on a Cocoa and Carols cruise in December. At the time, I was engaged, and we found the whole experience so relaxing and almost magical that my fiancé and I quickly began discussions to have our wedding on the Manhattan. Our wedding took place in July with around 30 guests. Adam and the CHL staff handled the venue details, the music, and the food. I honestly cannot imagine a better place to hold an event. Captain Jessica went way beyond her duties as a captain by explaining the best route options, advising our photographer on how to optimize lighting and angles for the ceremony, and making sure the crew knew exactly what we wanted. Mike and the band arranged by CHL set the mood perfectly with their music. The food was all delicious and presented at the right time, and Adam made us feel comfortable with quick communication throughout the planning process. I highly recommend booking public cruises AND private events through this company.

I organized a private event on Yacht Manhattan II for 30 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I have to say that the whole experience was amazing. The office staff worked hard to find available crew because I was had to book last minute after a previous arrangement did not work out. We booked a private boat at sunset as a welcome party for our wedding, and it was honestly everything we could have ever hoped for. We chartered the Kingston on May 20th as a private rental to host a graduation party. From Adam’s support in arranging the booking to our time with the crew on the vessel, the organization and service we received was outstanding. Every time I have joined a Classic Harbor Line sail or cruise, I have been blown away. Most recently, I booked a private sail on the Schooner Adirondack for my company, and my colleaugues have all been raving about the experience ever since. If you’re looking for a unique corporate event, this really is the best option in NYC. We worked with Adam to plan our sail, and he was very responsive and patient with us as we worked through the event details, even when we had to make a last minute change to the date. He really held our hand throughout the whole process, which we very much appreciated! When our team arrived at the boat, we were greeted by Captain Kat, who was warm and friendly and also a boss at sailing. It was awesome to watch Kat and her crew in action, and they were all super attentive, making sure everyone had plenty of food, a full cup, and blankets to stay cozy and warm. Even though it was a cloudy day, the views were breathtaking. I cannot wait to join them again for another sail!

We booked the Adirondack as an activity for our wedding party, and it was everything I had imagined it would be. The city looked magical as we sailed down the Hudson to see the Statue of Liberty and then back to Chelsea Piers. Our recent experience renting a sailboat for my mother’s retirement party was an absolute blast. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were greeted with warm hospitality and spectacular service from the captain and crew. It was a windy day, but we felt safe with our group of friends and family ranging from grandparents to grandchildren. Words cannot even describe how PERFECT our private charter sunset cruise on the Schooner America 2.0 turned out to be! This was the rehearsal dinner venue selected by our son and his fiancé, and every aspect was absolutely fabulous! Meghan in marketing was a delight to work with and never tired of answering our many questions. She made sure that every detail was in order and helped us choose the appetizers and drinks that were served, all of which were delicious! The sunset views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty were breathtaking. Captain Shanan was also fantastic and expertly positioned the ship to allow a storm to pass when we saw rain over Manhattan, allowing the happy couple to take the wheel for some amazing photos of them “sailing into their new life together!”

Our extended family booked an afternoon cruise on the Full Moon while everyone was in town this summer. The whole process was smooth sailing. The boat was clean and elegant with a few different areas to sit that were each well suited to conversation and sightseeing. We went on the forward deck at the Statue of Liberty and other notable sites to get great outside photos and to enjoy the sunshine. There was also an enclosed cabin with comfortable seating that was a nice place to relax after being out on the deck. A third space had a covered roof but open views at either side with tables and benches that worked well as another place to mingle, eat, and drink. The younger family members found it fun to explore the different parts of the boat and to ask questions to Captain Greg and the crew, who were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and who provided great service. We had a wonderful time and would recommend a cruise on Full Moon for a family event or celebration or even a small corporate gathering.

Full Moon is a beautiful boat! We loved the combination of indoor and outdoor space. The meat and cheese and dessert platters were great. We had a blast for my fiancé’s 40th birthday and so much space for 20 people. Captain Mark was welcoming and did an amazing job, as did First Mate Sean. Adam, who we worked with at the office to coordinate everything, was so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I used Classic Harbor Line for a corporate outing for our small group in NYC. We were looking for a private boat experience that includes dinner, drinks, and good views of NYC, and they delivered! Adam helped us with the booking from day one by providing us with many different boat options and helping us plan the best event that fit our budget. We ended up booking the Full Moon. It had a covering, which was a must for us in case of inclement weather, but also had ample outdoor space. It actually did rain, but we were very comfortable since the sides of the boat were protected as well. When the rain stopped, we were still able to take full advantage of the outdoor deck. We had great views of NYC and cruised right next to the Statue of Liberty. On the boat, Captain Pat and his crew (Natalie, Stephanie, and Chef Akeisha) were fantastic. They were extremely friendly, made sure we had enough food and drinks, took lots of group pictures for us, and were all around incredible hosts. To top it off – we saw a dolphin! How lucky and rare! Of all the options for a boat outing in NYC, I could not be happier with the company we chose. They treated us as real people from the beginning and accommodated our needs, and I will 100% use them again.

I used Classic Harbor Line for a private boat charter for a surprise engagement for my fiancé, and they were simply amazing. I had gone on two prior sunset cruises with them, and, based on those great experiences, I knew to hire them for this amazing moment. They did not disappoint. The biggest thing I am thankful for is how much they worked with me to make the proposal special and to keep it a surprise. There was a decent amount of coordination needed to get family members onboard and hidden until the proposal, as well as some “role playing” by the crew who said that we were the only ones on the boat because of some cancellations. They also allowed us to play a custom playlist, which was a very nice personal touch for us. I should also point out that in addition to their staff being amazing, their boats are beautiful. Overall, the whole experience was magical. A lot of companies offer private yacht rentals, but this one knows how to make it very special. I’m incredibly thankful to this very well-run organization and highly them if you are looking for a special moment.
