Classic Harbor Line’s “America 2.0” sunset cruise is as good as it gets in NYC. I took my 99 year old Dad, who is sharp as a tack, relatively mobile (uses a cane), and until a few years ago owned a 42-foot sloop that he sailed single-hand in the Gulf of Mexico. The crew was fantastic and the captain graciously allowed my Dad to take the helm, which even for a 99-year-old old salt, was a thrill and certainly one of the biggest highlights of the last several years. The “bottomless” bottles of rose didn’t hurt the mood either. If you are remotely interested in sailing, don’t miss this one!!!!
