Exciting news from Classic Harbor Line! We’re thrilled to announce a unique collaboration with the renowned Midtown restaurant, Marea, bringing you “Marea at Sea.” This exclusive experience turns Marea’s temporary closure into a delightful outdoor adventure, offering fine dining while sailing around downtown Manhattan.

Every Monday night through September 25th, join us aboard the America 2.0. On our largest and most elegant schooner, enjoy a two-hour sunset sail starting from Chelsea Pier 62. As you cruise down the Hudson, take in spectacular views of the NYC skyline, One World Trade Center, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty.

Indulge in Marea’s Italian-inspired coastal cuisine with a curated menu featuring their classics. The journey begins with savory plating’s, including tuna tartare gougère, oyster en escabeche, branzino crudo, and hamachi crudo. The second course delights with hand-chopped beef tartare, lobster salad, seafood salad, and fairy tale eggplant stuffed with caponata. Conclude with a sweet bite and an optional three-glass wine pairing by Marea’s sommelier team.

Classic Harbor Line is thrilled to announce a unique dining experience. A dining experience that brings Manhattan’s esteemed Italian seafood restaurant, Marea, to the waters of New York Harbor. While Marea’s Central Park South location undergoes renovations this summer, we’ve partnered with Chef Lauren DeSteno to create Marea at Sea. It’s an extraordinary culinary journey aboard our schooner America 2.0.

Every Monday evening through the end of September, join us for a two-hour sunset sail featuring three exquisite courses of small bites. Chef DeSteno and her talented team have designed a menu that captures the essence of Marea. This offering is an unforgettable dining adventure on the high seas. To elevate your experience even further, we have also devised an optional wine pairing to add to your reservation.

Setting the Scene

Your evening begins at Pier 62, adjacent to Hudson River Park and Chelsea Piers. As we set sail down the Hudson River, you’ll be greeted with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Our first course features a delightful array of small bites, including a tuna tartare and caviar gougére, an East Coast oyster in escabeche, hamachi crudo, and branzino crudo with panzanella, perfectly paired with a soave classico from Veneto.

As we glide past iconic landmarks like Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, the second course arrives. Savor the flavors of beef tartare, caponata-stuffed eggplant, a “seafood salad” skewer, and Marea’s signature astice (lobster) spoon with tomato, eggplant, and stracciatella, accompanied by a refreshing rosato wine from Puglia.

As the sun sets and the city lights up, we serve a final sweet course—a small cookie and a cream puff—paired with a sweet moscato d’Asti. The America 2.0 then returns to shore, leaving you with cherished memories of this extraordinary culinary cruise.

Classic Harbor Line is honored to be featured in the “What’s Up NY episode: Sea NYC” through NY2c.com. The NY2C representative, Michele Traina, takes one of our beautiful sunset cruises aboard yacht Manhattan.

Traina interviews our very own Captain Aaron! With his expert guidance, Traina is able to do her own driving along the Hudson river. Traina and her crew experience the magic of New York City at twilight on our Sunset Cruise aboard the elegant Yacht Manhattan.

As the sun sets and the city lights begin to sparkle. Stunning views can be seen of the iconic skyline from the comfort of our 1920s-style yacht. They glide under the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge taking in everything around them.

PRIDE 2023: New York Harbor PRIDE Sail for the Hetrick-Martin Institute

For the benefit of transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming, and queer youth support programs of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, Classic Harbor Line hosts a sail in New York Harbor on Saturday June 24, 10:30-12:30.  100% of net ticket sales goes to the Hetrick-Martin Institute. 

A 400 square foot spinnaker cloth Pride Flag will be flown.  The flag will be hoisted to the aft-leading edge of their mainsail as they glide from Chelsea Piers, south on the Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty and back.  Subsequently, this Pride Flag is nearly half the size of schooner Adirondack’s mainsail and will certainly prove to be an epic and awe-inspiring experience for all those who see it.

Founded in 1979, Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) is the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization serving LGBTQIA+ youth services organization. HMI provides its youth members with access to mental health services, social services, basic needs such as toiletries and clothing. As well as remote and in-person programming services focused on education, workforce development and arts & culture.  Today, HMI serves more than 2,000 at-risk youth each year between the ages of 13 and 24 from more than 300 zip codes in New York and throughout the tri-state area, and an additional 8,000 young people through outreach efforts. Through a comprehensive package of direct services and referrals focused on basic needs, mental health, and job readiness skills, HMI seeks to foster healthy youth development. HMI promotes excellence in the delivery of youth services and uses its expertise to create innovative programs that other organizations may use as models.

The Great Boatlift

In honor of 9/11 and in commemoration of the Great Boat Lift, a Flotilla and Blessing of the Fleet is being organized on Friday September 10. Passage aboard the Classicseveral boats cruising on a river with a city landscape in the background Harbor Line Fleet is being offered to participate in this grand event. 100% of all ticket sales are donated to various waterfront organizations.

ABOUT THE GREAT BOATLIFT OF 9/11: 
  • The “Boatlift” of 9/11 was the largest water evacuation in history. After road, tunnel, and railway closures out of New York City, over half a million people were stranded in lower Manhattan following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. 
  • American Maritime transported over 500,000 survivors from lower Manhattan across the harbor to safety and the rescue was larger than the evacuation of 340,000 American-allied troops at Dunkirk. 
  • The rescue effort involved over 150 American Maritime vessels, including passenger ferries, tugboats, merchant ships, private vessels, and New York City Fire Department and Police Department boats. 
  • More than 800 American mariners participated in the Boatlift evacuation of September 11th.

The route will include a gathering south of Governor’s Island, a pass by the Statue of Liberty and then a procession and a pass in front of the World Trade Center site.
