During Climate Week in NYC, Classic Harbor Line (CHL) is thrilled to host the Stone Soup Leadership Institute in honoring Henk Rogers with their Cronkite Award for Ocean Champion aboard Manhattan II and Adirondack IV - the newly constructed 90-foot wooden schooner and latest addition to the CHL fleet. Our team will take you onto the docks and aboard to tour Schooner Adirondack IV and meet some of the crew. We'll talk with boat builders John and Rick Scarano too.Aboard Yacht Manhattan II, we'll learn about the Stone Soup Leadership Institute and their mission of sustainability education around the world. We'll meet their staff, previous awardees and visit their exhibits. At 5:00 PM a ceremony commences on the bow of Manhattan II to recognize and honor Henk Rogers, founder of Blue Planet Alliance (and the creator of the renowned video game, Tetris) with the Cronkite Award for Ocean Champion! Get an up close view of the ceremony and the Christening of Adirondack IV from wherever you are! At 5:30 PM we'll 'set sail' with the captain and crew of Schooner Adirondack IV for a ride around NY Harbor. Those tuning in can see her sails being raised and experience the magic of sailing around New York City.
